The following course is accredited by Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) and delivered by Clique College.
Foundation Studies is a university preparation course specifically designed for students who have not completed secondary schooling, or who have not met the direct entry requirements for a Bachelor degree.
The course involves a stream of subjects relevant to your chosen degree. You will develop study skills and habits, including time management, essay writing, group work and presentation skills; and become familiar with the academic standards and expectations of a university.
Successful completion of Foundation Studies provides guaranteed entry to most undergraduate Bachelor degrees both locally and overseas.
Applicants must meet one of the following entry criteria:
- GCE O’Level/SSC 3 passes (‘C’ and above) OR
- Completed MNQF Level 3 qualification
Alternate Entry Criteria:
Alternatively, you may gain entry by meeting the following criteria:
- 18 years old with 1 year work experience AND
ability to communicate in the language of instruction

3. English for oral communication
4. English for written communication
5. Study Skills
6. Academic Writing
Options (two electives):
– Fundamentals of Information and Communication Technology
– Business studies
– Other electives in MNQF Level 4

Course duration: 8 or 12 months (Depending on the commencement of the Semester)
Intake: January, April, June and September
Class timing: 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm (3 or 4 weekdays)
