Description: University preparation program is a 15 academic week’s program which is designed to provide an entry route to adults who return to higher education through alternative entry. The main goal of this program is to facilitate students to successfully start their university level education. This University preparation program will help students’ to improve their general and academic English language ability, enhance students’ study skills and also develop their ICT skills. Moreover this program will cover library and research skills, and also basic mathematics and statistics etc.
Applicants must meet one of the following entry criteria:
- 20 years and above, completion of grade 10 OR Completion of a Level 3 qualification (related or unrelated field) AND 2 years of relevant work experience.
Alternate Entry Criteria:
Alternatively, you may gain entry by meeting the following criteria:
- 18 years old with 1 year work experience AND
ability to communicate in the language of instruction
Modules (10 subjects):
- Mathematics and Statistics
- English Academic Writing
- Academic and ICT Skills for Academic Purpose
No of semesters: One Semester
Course duration: 15 weeks (4 months)
Intake: January, May and September
Class timing: 5:30 to 8:30 (3 to 4 days)
Course fee: 4 monthly installments of MVR 1900
